Huckleberry Artist Preview: Fruition
We’re very excited to have Fruition joining the Shook Twins for a special performance at the Community Campground for early arrivers Thursday night at the Huckleberry Jam.
Fruition is rooted in Portland, Oregon where the “string-infused quintet” traveled across the Pacific Northwest playing sold out shows. In 2013, the band released One of Them Nights – an album about the struggles and successes of “living the vagabond lifestyle” that comes with being on the road.
Fruition has hit the road or collaborated with members of Railroad Earth, ALO, Infamous Stringdusters, Leftover Salmon, Greensky Bluegrass, Elephant Revival, and The Head and the Heart. They’ve played festivals around the country, including Jamcruise, High Sierra Music Festival, Northwest String Summit and All Good Music Festival. They’ve packed Portland’s Crystal Ballroom, Colorado’s Fox Theater, San Francisco’s Fillmore, the Great American Music Hall, Brighton Music Hall, and more.
The band is currently finishing up a full-length album to be released in 2015. Fruition has a bright future ahead and are sure to be heading straight for the indie spotlight. We’re loving their NPR Tiny Desk Contest entry of their song “The Meaning” – check it out below and make sure you head up to Tamarack Resort on Thursday for their special performance at the Community Campground.
